Do dzisiaj większość mieszkańców porozumiewa się językiem polskim i pielęgnuje się polską tradycję. Z uwagi na srogi klimat, na miejsce można dojechać tylko kilka miesięcy w roku. Przez pozostałą część panuje ostra zima, a potem przejazd uniemożliwiają roztopy.
